Wrist brace dynamic

The dynamic wrist brace (carpus brace) is made to order and consists of two plastic shells that fit around the wrist joint. These shells are connected by a pliable hinge that allows for a swift range of movement. The wrist brace offers support to the joint and muscles by guiding the surrounding anatomical structures in their functioning. If the inward or outward motion (extension or flexion) needs to be limited, a “stop/brake” is added during the manufacturing process to limit this motion. If necessary, a ROM hinge (Range of Motion) can also be used. The benefit of this is that it provides temporary fixation, after which movement in the joint can be increased gradually.

The dynamic wrist brace can be used in the case of:

  • Instability in the wrist joint
  • Hypermobility of the wrist joint
  • Post-operatively
  • Arthrosis
  • Amputation of 1 or more toes
  • ...
